Parents of kids hawking during school hours to be arrested – Benue govt
Parents of children hawking during school hours instead of studying in the classroom will face the full wrath of the law, the Benue State government has said.
The Director General of the Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency (BEQA), Dr Terna Francis, disclosed that parents subjecting their kids to labour during school hours will be apprehended and prosecuted.

He made the disclosure when he was featured on a live NTA Makurdi programme tagged: “BLISS”.
Francis noted that education remained sacrosanct and a right as enshrined in the Child’s Rights Act of Benue State 2008.
