Parents reunite with stolen baby sold for N800,000 by newly employed maid
Munachimso, a baby who was stolen by a newly employed house help, has reunited with her parents.
The toddler was taken away by the maid and allegedly sold at N800,000 to the buyers.
The report of the incident came to the limelight at the weekend after Nigerians on social media began to share the image of the maid, identified as Ruth Okezie, and calling for her arrest if found.

The spokesperson of the Lagos Police Command, Ben Hundeyin, in a post on Monday via his X account, confirmed the reunion of the baby with the parents.
The post read, “Due to intense manhunt and pressure from the police, the buyer in the early hours of today abandoned the baby in Alade Market, Shomolu. Baby was promptly rescued by the police.
“The baby has since been handed over to her parents after they positively identified her. Efforts are still on to apprehend the buyer who is currently on the run.”
