PDP architect of its downfall, not Umahi – Ebonyi gov’t

The Ebonyi State government has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the architect of its downfall and not the state governor, Dave Umahi.

A statement yesterday by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr Orji Uchenna Orji, noted that since the governor left PDP, it had maintained a downward spiral of members dumping it.

Orji stated that the scathing remarks on the governor by the Director General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, CID Maduabum, was dotted by evasive comments on the zoning of its presidency which has been challenged by the governor.

He urged PDP to halt its “shameful display of frustration that informs their ceaseless media attacks on our dear governor,” adding that the act would not “add any value to their existence as an opposition political party.”
