Peter Obi, Soludo settle rift, hug at Awka church function

Labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, have may resolved their differences as they were seen hugging each other and laughing at a thanksgiving ceremony, days after the the governor criticised the LP flag bearer over his 2023 presidential ambition.

The duo met at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka, Anambra State, during the Thanksgiving mass for Most Rev. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor in celebration of his 70th birthday.

Vanguard reports eyewitnesses as saying that just before the mass started, Governor Soludo stepped out from his pew and walked over to where the former governor was seated to greet him.

Soludo had released a statement rubbishing the presidential ambition of Obi.

Soludo’s comments received mixed reactions from Nigerians.

Obi later reacted asking the incumbent governor to lead the state as a professor, adding that he had governed Anambra as a trader.
