Peter Obi visits Dele Farotimi
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has lauded lawyer and activist Dele Farotimi for his courage and commitment to the pursuit of a “better Nigeria.”
The former Governor of Anambra State shared his thoughts in a series of tweets on Friday after visiting Farotimi, who recently returned from a correctional facility in Ekiti State.
Farotimi had been detained on December 3 by the Ekiti State Police Command over allegations of defamation and cyberbullying. These charges stemmed from claims by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and legal luminary Aare Afe Babalola, who accused Farotimi of defaming him in a 116-page book titled Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System.

Farotimi’s unwavering activism has earned him recognition as a strong voice in the fight for good governance and justice in Nigeria.
