President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday presided over an emergency National Security Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha; the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd.), and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, were among those that attended the meeting.
Others are Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao.
The meeting is coming days after the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, among others alerting that terrorists were planning to attack a number of major and public places in Abuja.
