Plateau announces N4.5m as minimum hajj fare deposit for 2024 pilgrimage
INTENDING 2024 hajj pilgrims in Plateau need to deposit N4.5 million each with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Plateau Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board stated in Jos on Friday that the money was the amount approved for Plateau pilgrims by NAHCON.
Its spokesman, Mr Namu Sanusi, stated that final fare would be announced in due course.

“The board hereby directs intending pilgrims from Plateau to pay N4.5 million only, pending when the final fares will be announced by NAHCON.
“NAHCON has allocated 1,345 hajj slots to Plateau and assured that priority would be given to those who missed the 2023 hajj, while 2024 intending pilgrims would be on a first come, first served basis.
“The Acting Executive Secretary of the Board, Hajiya Aisha Saleh urges intending pilgrims to make their deposits promptly to enable the board to make remittances to NAHCON,’’ Sanusi stated.
