Police aide to deputy senate president dies in accident
Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, has expressed sorrow over the passing of his police driver, Corporal Barde Nuhu, who lost his life in a car accident en route to visit his family in Niger State.
The tragic accident occurred on Saturday as Corporal Barde was traveling to Shata village in Bosso Local Government Area.
In a statement released Sunday by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau described Corporal Barde as a “dedicated and committed police officer” who carried out his responsibilities with integrity and diligence.
Senator Barau extended his condolences to Barde’s family and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), expressing grief over the officer’s passing.

“With a heavy heart but total submission to the will of Allah SWT, I mourn the passing of CPL Barde Nuhu, who died in a car accident while on his way to Bosso Local Government Area in Niger State. He was a hardworking, dedicated, and committed Police officer. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdausi,” he said.
On Sunday, Senator Barau dispatched a delegation led by his Aide De Camp, SP Abdulrahman Baba Garba, to Shata, Barde’s hometown in Bosso Local Government Area, to convey condolences to the family of the late officer.
The delegation met with Barde’s wife, children, and parents, offering prayers for his soul and comfort to the grieving family.
“The deputy president of the Senate donated money to support the family of the late police officer,” the statement added.
