Police have arrested 13 persons in connection with the attack on the 2023 governorship campaign office of Senator Barau Jibrin, in Kano.
Daily Trust gathered that the campaign office was razed late Wednesday night when the thugs in their hundreds attacked the facility.
Jibrin is one of the lawmakers that make up the G-7, led by a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.
Shekarau is at daggers drawn with the Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje-endorsed executive of the party in the state.
But the G-7 achieved a major feat on Tuesday when an FCT High Court recognised their ward congresses against those of Governor Ganduje.
Barau Jibrin, a serving senator representing Kano North, has his office situated around Maiduguri road and the building is owned by a former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Alhaji Musa Gwadabe.

When Daily Trust visited the office yesterday, it was found that billboards were brought down with some set ablaze. Though the building was not demolished, some parts of it were also burnt.
Inside the building, some office materials including chairs and tables were found broken, with glasses that surround the entrance and first floor also destroyed. Doors and windows were equally damaged.
However, security personnel have already been deployed to the place to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
The Kano State Police Command has arrested 13 hoodlums in connection with the attack and setting ablaze of the campaign office.
It said that the thugs were arrested with dangerous weapons and illicit drugs.
The Police Spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said normalcy has since been restored and the situation under control, adding that investigation has commenced and suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
