A former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has been arrested over seized Royal Spring Palm Hotels and Apartments, which he went to unseal.
The Imo State Government had sealed the property situated along Akachi road, Owerri.
The state Commissioner for Lands, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, had on Friday led a team of government officials and police officers to seal the property.
Okorocha had however led his entourage to unseal the property on Sunday.
The seized property allegedly belongs to his wife, Nneoma Rochas Okorocha.
The former governor was said to have personally driven away a pick-up truck used to block the entrance of the access gate.
He was said to have forcefully gained access into the property, marching into the premises with his entourage.
Shortly after, some masked police arrived at the place, arrested the ex-governor and led him away.
Okorocha and the incumbent Governor of Imo State have been at daggers drawn, attacking each other.
Only last week, the Uzodinma administration recovered and renamed the Eastern Palm University which was founded by Okorocha.
