Police arrest four over kidnap, murder of 43-year-old man in Edo
Edo State Police Command has arrested four suspects, Abubakar Ishaku, 25, Abibu Ide,18, Muruni Mallam,32, and Hamidu Hamisu, 30, over alleged murder and kidnapping in the state.
Spokesperson of the command, Chidi Nwabuzor, said the suspects were arrested by the police at Ososo, Akoko-Edo LGA of the state.

He said one Alaba Ahmedu reported to the police that his elder brother, one Taiye Adebayo Shadrach, 43, boarded Okada on his way from Ogorimagongo to Ojah Community and on getting to Ekpe/Ekpedo community, some group of armed men emerged from the bush, forced them to stop, robbed them of their motorcycle and phones and kidnapped them into the bush.
He said the suspects tied them with ropes but they manage to escape, adding that the suspect shot Shadrach as they were running away and also inflicted matchet cut all over his body. Shadrach later died from the injuries inflicted on him.
Chidi said one of the victims identified the suspects as the killers of Shadrach, leading to their arrest.
