Police arrest mechanic, girlfriend on way to sell customers’ vehicles
The Osun State Police Command has disclosed that its operatives arrested one Temitope Oke, 33, with his girlfriend, Wuraola Julius, 28, while driving to Kogi state to sell customers vehicles.
The suspects, arrested with other conspirators, Wasiu Hammed, 19, Olamilekan Yusuf, 21 were caught at Osunjela in Osun in possession of four different vehicles they intended to sell.
The vehicles recovered from them include; a white 2014 Toyota Camry with registration number LSR 935 JC Lagos; a red 2010 unregistered Toyota Camry; a 2005 gold coloured Honda Accord with registration number FST 917 BF Lagos and a 2010 black Toyota Camry.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, DCP Hope Okafor said the suspects were arrested around 1am on Wednesday, February 7 while driving the cars to Kogi state for sale to a customer.
She added that the suspects would be arraigned in court after further investigation aimed at arresting other members of the syndicate.
Fielding questions from journalists, Oke said he relocated to Osun after selling a customer’s vehicle in Kabba town in Kogi and later set up the buyer, who has later arrested by police, having failed to pay him the full amount bargained.
“I am a vehicle gear-specialists. I was practicing in Kabba, kogi State before, I relocated to Osun after selling a customer’s car. I was driving to Kogi to sell the cars caught in our possession. My girlfriend did not know we were travelling to sell the cars, she was just going with us on the journey.
“The four cars belonged to different customers, who brought their vehicles for gear repairs”, he added.
