Police Arrest More Suspects Over Killing of Ajiran of Agungi’s Son in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested additional suspects in connection with the killing of Prince Ademola Akinloye, the son of the Ajiran of Agungi, Oba Tijani Akinloye, as investigations into the tragic incident intensify.
Police authorities disclosed that the new arrests were made during ongoing efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killing, which has sparked widespread concern in the Agungi community and across Lagos State.
According to sources within the command, the suspects were apprehended following intensified intelligence gathering and coordinated operations by detectives assigned to the case. The police confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and are providing investigators with useful information that could help identify other individuals linked to the crime.

The killing of Prince Ademola Akinloye had earlier prompted the police to launch a manhunt for the perpetrators, with the command assuring residents that those responsible would be tracked down and brought to justice.
A senior police source said investigations are still ongoing and that security operatives are working to identify and arrest other suspects who may have played roles in the attack.
The Lagos State Police Command reiterated its commitment to conducting a thorough investigation while maintaining security across the state.
Meanwhile, residents of Agungi in the Lekki axis of Lagos have continued to demand swift justice, describing the killing as shocking and unacceptable within the community.
Community members have urged security agencies to ensure that all those responsible are apprehended and prosecuted to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The police also appealed to members of the public to remain calm and continue to provide credible information that could assist investigators in concluding the case.
Authorities added that the suspects currently in custody will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
