Police arrest woman with 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition Nasarawa
Police operatives from the Keffi Division of the Nasarawa State Command have apprehended a woman, Hawa Sanni, in possession of dangerous weapons, alongside a two-year-old child.
Keffi, a town situated just 33 kilometers from Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, became the site of the arrest, which took place on Friday.
The Nasarawa Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, revealed in a statement that 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition were found hidden in a container of palm oil carried by the suspect.

The suspect, who hails from Doro village in Katsina State, was intercepted by the police while transporting the concealed ammunition.
Initial investigations indicate that the supply of ammunition was received by the suspect at Rafin Sanyi village in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to Nansel, the suspect was en route to Katsina State with the illicit cargo when she was apprehended. The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, Umar Shehu Nadada, has directed that the suspect and the recovered ammunition be transferred to the Force Intelligence Department at Force Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation.
