Police confirm abduction of seven UNIJOS students
The Plateau State police command has confirmed the abduction of seven students of the University of Jos from a private hostel.
They were abducted around 1am Wednesday from their hostel located on the Bauchi-Ring road in the Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
The state police spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, said, “We are still working to rescue the students unhurt.”
The students were said to be reading ahead of their forthcoming examination when some armed men stormed the hostel.
A student said they were afraid and could not offer any help even though the bandits spent about 30 minutes before whisking the victims away in a vehicle they came with.
