Police confirm killing of Katsina gov’s aide, wife, second wife abduction
Tragedy in Katsina as police have confirmed the killing of an aide to the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Sanusi Ango Gyaza, and his wife.
The bandits killed Sanusi and one of his wives at his residence in the Gyaza community of Kankia Local Government Area of the state on Friday, August 16, 2024.

The bandits during the attack also abducted Sanusi’s second wife, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
The deceased was a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kankia LGA.
Spokesperson for the State Police Command, Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed the incident to journalists on Sunday.
“Yes, we are aware and we are on top of the situation,” Sadiq said.
