Police hunt for mother of newborn baby abandoned in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has said it is searching for the mother of a 10-day-old baby discovered behind the window of a house, at Akindiya Street, Agege area of the state and handed over to its operatives on Wednesday.
The spokesperson for Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the baby was discovered by a good Nigerian and handed over to the police at about 10.30 p.m.

Hundeyin, that the good Nigerian brought the baby to Pen Cinema Police Division, Agege, on Thursday at about 10.00 a.m.
“The baby has been taken to Juvenile/Woman Centre, Alakara, in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos, onward transfer to an orphanage home, Alausa, Ikeja.
“Investigation is ongoing on how to track the child’s mother,” he said.
