The Kano State Police Command has intercepted a vehicle loaded with sophisticated improvised-explosive devices (IEDs).
In a statement issued on Saturday, Abdullahi Kiyawa, police spokesman, said the vehicle was coming from Jigawa State when it was intercepted.
Kiyawa said Sama’ila Dikko, police commissioner, immediately launched a “crack team comprising Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)– Chemical, Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defence (EOD-CBRN) and Operation Puff Adder” when an intelligence report was made to the command.
“Following a hot chase, the suspects abandoned the Motor Vehicle at Bubbugaje Quarters Kumbotso LGA Kano State,” the statement reads.
