Meanwhile, it was suspected that the group was holding talks with its militant arm, the Black Marine around the area before the police arrived.

Commenting on the incident, the National Leader of the BnL, Princewill Richards debunked claims that his group was holding a meeting with the ‘Black Marine’ but confirmed that the purpose of gathering was to hoist their flag in Ekpri Ikang in Bakassi.

According to him, the militants do not meet in an open environment like the BnL members, adding that both groups understand how they operate.

This news medium understands that the leader of the BnL is reportedly engaging his followers in Bakassi Peninsula.
