Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President and Chairman of the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill
The Presidency has dismissed as false reports suggesting that President Bola Tinubu replaced his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, with Principal Private Secretary Hakeem Muri-Okunola.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Lagos, Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga described the circulating story on social media as a fabrication intended to create disaffection within the government.

“There is absolutely no truth to this story. We advise Nigerians to disregard it entirely,” Onanuga said.
He clarified that Femi Gbajabiamila remains Chief of Staff, while Hakeem Muri-Okunola continues in his role as Principal Private Secretary.
The Presidency attributed the false claim to “mischievous purveyors of fake news” seeking to mislead the public and urged media organisations and social media users to verify information before publishing or sharing unverified reports.
It further stressed the importance of relying on official government channels for accurate updates on government activities.
