Grief enveloped the academic community on Wednesday as the country’s first professor of Neurology-physiotherapy, Kolapo Hamzat died at the age of 53.
Olayinka Omigbodun Professor of Psychiatry and Provost College of Medicine, University of Ibadan said this in a statement on Wednesday.
He wrote “With Deep Sorrow but Total Submission to God, I announce the passing of Professor Tal-hatu Kolapo HAMZAT, of the Department of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI). He passed away in the early hours of today 11 January 2023.
