Rain destroys 100 houses in Kebbi, many injured
No fewer than 100 houses were destroyed in Zogirma village in the Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State following a heavy rainfall that lasted for hours on Friday night.
Haruna Danmalam, a Bunza resident who told reporters about the tragedy, also stated that several individuals in the villages were seriously injured as a result of the collapse of houses due to the heavy rainfall.
Malam Muhammed Umar Mawo, Secretary of the Bunza Local Government Area, visited the affected districts and expressed sympathy to the residents on behalf of the local government’s chairman.

He informed the victims that the local government council would produce a complete report on the occurrence and present it to the state government for appropriate action.
Similarly, four communities in the state’s Arewa local government region were buried in floodwaters.
Tungar Chindo, Tungar Kure, Feske Malabawa, and Feske Rafi were among the communities affected by the flooding, which destroyed over sixty houses as well as many livestock and other goods worth hundreds of naira.
