Regina Daniels tells estranged husband Nwoko to leave her family alone
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of harassment, intimidation, and attempts to forcibly return her to a rehabilitation facility against her will.
In a series of emotional Instagram stories posted on Monday, the 24-year-old actress alleged that members of her family had been arrested and detained at the behest of the Delta North senator. She claimed the arrests were part of a broader effort to pressure her into resuming a rehabilitation programme she insists is unjustified.
“Someone please, help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” Daniels wrote. “My big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab.”
Daniels further accused Nwoko of attempting to tarnish her reputation by labelling her a drug addict. “You said I’m a drug addict, me wey just dey use am rob body, sir! What other name can you call me? A prostitute?” she wrote, adding that she had remained silent for too long but would eventually speak out fully.
Reflecting on the collapse of their marriage, Daniels lamented the public unraveling of what she described as a once “beautiful but short legacy.”
“It is obvious it’s war! And a big shame that the beautiful but short legacy we built is about to be ridiculed by the whole world,” she wrote.
“My sons and family are the biggest challenge of my life, but I will overcome and give them what they deserve.”

The latest accusations come just weeks after a viral video surfaced online on October 18, 2025, showing Daniels in visible distress. In the clip, she is heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.” The footage, which also showed a man wielding a stick, sparked widespread concern over possible domestic abuse.
In response, Senator Nwoko issued a statement via his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on October 19, denying any form of physical abuse.
He attributed the breakdown in their relationship to what he described as Daniels’ “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse,” which he claimed had led to erratic and violent behaviour.
“Regina was not always like this,” Nwoko stated. “Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”
He further alleged that Daniels had assaulted domestic staff, vandalised property, and endangered lives during recent outbursts.
He insisted that none of his other wives had ever accused him of violence and maintained that his only condition for reconciliation was her acceptance of rehabilitation, either in Asokoro or abroad.
The controversy deepened when Daniels’ brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, accused Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister. In a fiery Instagram post, he wrote: “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.”
He alleged that Nwoko had “smashed her head against the wall” and later sent thugs to intimidate the family.
As the public feud unfolds, calls for calm and legal resolution have grown louder, with fans and observers urging both parties to prioritise the well-being of their children and seek peaceful mediation.
Neither party has confirmed whether legal proceedings are underway.
