Remains of ex-Head of Service Adamu Fika buried in Kaduna, Tinubu mourns
The remains of former Head of Service to the federation, Adamu Fika, who died on Tuesday, have been laid to rest in Kaduna State.
The former Head of Service died at the age of 90.
The Fika Emirate Council in Yobe State announced the death of Adamu Fika CFR on Tuesday.
The funeral prayer held at the Sultan Bello Mosque in the Kaduna State capital was led by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.
Among the dignitaries at the funeral prayer are the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who led the Federal Government delegation and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babagana Kingibe.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has expressed grief over the passing of the elder statesman.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed Tinubu’s condolence message in a statement on Wednesday.
The President said the late Fika’s contributions both as Head of Service and chairman of different civil service reform panels were indelible in the annals of Nigeria’s history.
