A renowned Professor of History, Dahiru Yahaya, is dead has died at the age of 75.
He was a former lecturer with the Bayero University Kano and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
A relative of the deceased, Bashir Habib Yahaya, who confirmed his death to newsmen, said Prof Yahaya died in the hospital on Wednesday during a brief illness.
Funeral prayers were observed for the late professor by 4pm at his residence in Ungogo town, Kano State.
The deceased is survived by three wives, 22 children and many grandchildren.
