Resident doctors threaten fresh strike, give FG two-week ultimatum
Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) on Saturday gave the Federal Government a two-week strike notice.
It said it’s members would embark on a nationwide industrial action on May 13 should the government fail to address all its demands on welfare.
The ultimatum was issued at the end of its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
It said, “NEC resolved to issue the Government a two-week ultimatum beginning today, 29th April 2023, to resolve all these demands, following the expiration of which on the 13th May 2023, we may not be able to guarantee industrial harmony in the sector nationwide.”
