Retired High Court Judge Justice Ifeoma Okogwu Found Murdered in Asaba Home
A retired High Court judge, Justice Ifeoma Okogwu, was on Monday found murdered in her Asaba residence, sending shockwaves through the legal community and residents of Delta State.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, sources revealed that the late judge was discovered in her sitting room with her hands and legs tied, and her mouth gagged with a wrapper, indicating a violent attack.
Her brother, Emeka Okogwu, reportedly alerted the police in Asaba around 8:00 a.m. upon arriving at her home and finding her lifeless. Police patrol teams were immediately deployed to the scene.

Authorities confirmed that one of the security guards on duty was arrested for interrogation, while another guard identified as Godwin Vanen is currently missing and being sought by investigators.
The body of Justice Okogwu has been evacuated and deposited at Maduemeie Hospital Mortuary, Asaba, as police commence a full-scale investigation into the murder, including identifying the attackers and determining the motive behind the killing.
The shocking death of the respected jurist has raised fresh concerns over security in Asaba and the safety of senior citizens living alone.
