Rival bandit groups clash in Zamfara, 30+ killed
A deadly clash between rival bandit groups in Zamfara State has left at least thirty dead.
The warring groups clashed in the Kawaya community of Anka Local Government of the north-west State.
Many bandits also sustained various degrees of injuries during the violent confrontation.
A local privy to the incident, Usman Abubakar, attributed the clash to cattle rustling by the bandits, noting that the fighting between is good for the enclave.

“We are very happy as the bandits are now killing themselves. This may lead to the end of banditry in the area,” he said.
He further stated that since the clash between the bandits started, the village has become peaceful, noting that the bandits have been terrorizing the area for years.
The weekend battle between the rival bandit groups is the latest in the state.
However, both the state government and the security agencies have not made any official statement as of the time of filing this report.
