Rivers Assembly threatens to stop receiving correspondence from Fubara
The Rivers State House of Assembly led by Mr. Martin Amaehwule, has threatened that it would stop receiving correspondence from the Government House, following the attitudes of staff members of the Brick House.
Amaehwule, who disclosed this during its sitting, yesterday at its Chambers within the House of Assembly Quarters by Port Harcourt – Aba Expressway, regretted that the Clerk of Government House has not been receiving letters and correspondence from the legislative arm of the state.

Amaehwule, said after the government staff sent in a correspondence on the commissioner-nominees that they (Government House) has refused to receive any document from the Assembly, warning that the House would stop taking any correspondence from the executive arm.
However, when the House called for the screening of the nine nominees, it only asked them to take a bow and go, having served as commissioners in the state.
Meanwhile, efforts to get the state government’s reaction proved abortive as calls made to the state Commissioner for Information were not answered.
