RMAFC coordinator, others abducted along Funtua-Gusau road Katsina
In a disturbing incident, bandits have kidnapped Alhaji Bashir Abara Gummi, the Zamfara State coordinator of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), along with several others on the busy Funtua-Gusau road.
The attack occurred yesterday as the assailants ambushed multiple vehicles, including the one transporting Alhaji Gummi, who was on his way to Abuja for an official assignment.
Reports indicate that the bandits opened fire on moving vehicles during the ambush, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals at the scene.
Following the gunfire, the assailants proceeded to abduct the coordinator and several other travellers, further escalating concerns over security along the route.

In a fortunate turn of events, Zamfara State Auditor General Alhaji Abubakar Dan Maliki narrowly escaped the ordeal.
Arriving shortly after the initial ambush, he managed to evade the bandits by swiftly making a U-turn after witnessing the chaos alongside other drivers.
