Salah Could Be Dropped for Inter Milan Clash After Explosive Interview
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah may be left out of the squad for the club’s upcoming UEFA Champions League showdown against Inter Milan, following renewed tension sparked by his recent public comments.
Salah, who has experienced an underwhelming season, expressed frustration in a widely circulated interview, alleging unfair treatment at the club. He claimed he has been restricted to “fringe roles” and suggested a “conspiracy” to push him out of Liverpool, shortly after the team’s 3–3 draw with Leeds United.
The Egyptian star also stated that he has no relationship with manager Arne Slot, adding that next weekend’s fixture against Brighton could be his last appearance for the club.

Although Liverpool have not officially responded, Salah’s remarks have triggered intense debate among fans and football analysts regarding his standing with the club’s hierarchy.
Sources close to Anfield indicate that the timing of his statements has led to internal discussions about whether he should start—or even feature—in the crucial Champions League encounter. No formal decision has been made, and the club is expected to announce the squad closer to kickoff.
Club insiders, however, insist that the manager’s final decision will be based on tactical needs, player fitness, and the overall dynamics of the squad, rather than the interview alone.
