Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Regina Daniels, faces multiple criminal charges in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has formally charged Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, with multiple criminal offenses including conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, the charges stem from a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, implicating Ojeogwu and three others in a series of alleged offenses, including cyberbullying.
Despite repeated invitations for questioning, Ojeogwu reportedly failed to cooperate with investigators. He was subsequently arrested in Lagos under the authority of a court-issued warrant and transported to Abuja for further investigation.
“Mr. Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh confirmed.

Following the conclusion of the investigation, Ojeogwu was arraigned before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025. He has since been remanded pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
SP Adeh emphasized the command’s adherence to due process, stating, “The FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law.”
The legal proceedings have sparked emotional reactions from Regina Daniels, who appeared visibly distressed in a viral video lamenting her brother’s arrest. Her emotional breakdown comes amid ongoing public speculation about her marital struggles with Senator Ned Nwoko.
Daniels had previously accused Nwoko of domestic abuse in a social media post, claims which the senator denied. He instead attributed her behavior to alleged substance abuse and urged her to seek therapy.
In a surprising turn, Daniels announced the reconciliation of her long-separated parents, attributing their reunion to the emotional toll of her brother’s detention and her own personal challenges.
The unfolding saga continues to draw public attention, intertwining legal, familial, and celebrity drama in a case that has captivated audiences nationwide.
