Saudi Air resumes lesser Hajj flight operations in Kano

After almost two years of inactivity, Saudi Air has resumed direct flight operations from Nigeria for lesser Hajj.

About 360 passengers on Saturday in Kano boarded the airline to Medina and Jidda in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Umra (lesser Hajj) .

Addressing newsmen during the official launch of the return of the airline, Royal Consulate General of Saudi Arabia, Khalil Admawi, revealed that it is a great joy for the airline to resume direct operation from Kano.

He added that Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have a long history of cordial relationship.

President of Kano State Chamber of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar, described the resumption of the airline’s operations as heartwarming, adding that it was something they had been praying for.

He said there would be adequate patronage of the airline’s service from not only people from Kano State but the whole northern region.
