Secondary school student stabs colleague to death over minor argument
O’Reilly Senior High School in Okpoi-Gonno, Accra, Ghana, is facing intense scrutiny following the tragic death of final-year student Edward Borketey Sackey, who was fatally stabbed during an argument with friends on Tuesday, September 4.
This incident marks the second student murder at the school, raising serious concerns over the safety of students and the effectiveness of the school’s management.
Eyewitnesses reported that the argument, which started over a debate about whose father was wealthier, escalated quickly into a physical altercation. During the fight, one of the students reportedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed Edward multiple times.
