Security operatives on Saturday gunned down a suspected ballot box snatcher at a polling unit in the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
The man was one of the two men trying to cart away election materials at a Gboko South polling unit, Benue State.
While the first man was shot dead, his colleague reportedly sustained gunshots injury.
Chairman of Gboko LGA, Isaac Mtom, said he got information thar one person was shot while trying to cart away electoral materials.
“What I was told is that one person was shot by security operatives. I wasn’t there but that’s what I heard. They even said the person was not dead,” he said.
