Competent sources close to the National Assembly bureaucracy told The Sun that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, called the meeting, in concert with the Speaker, House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, for the lawmakers to rectify the error in the budget.
It was gathered that there is a slight difference in the budget the Senate and the House of Representatives passed.

The Sun gathered that since it is a lone agenda, many National Assembly members are unhappy that they are being recalled one week after going on recess.
According to sources, the lawmakers said the National Assembly leadership could have waited for the earlier September date for resumption as most of them have traveled to their constituencies or out of the country.
Meanwhile, The Sun gathered that the planned nationwide protest could come up for discussion at the plenary, although it is not the main agenda.
