Shettima emphasizes implementation of Tinubu’s 8-point agenda at APC policy roundtable
Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the pragmatic approach of President Bola Tinubu’s administration towards addressing Nigeria’s current challenges. Speaking at the APC Professionals Forum’s Policy Roundtable Conference on the “Asiwaju Score Card Series” in Abuja, Shettima highlighted the administration’s commitment to policies and programs tailored to the nation’s unique circumstances.
Shettima, represented by Dr. Aliyu Modibbo, Special Adviser to the President on General Duties (Office of the Vice President), underscored the 8-point agenda of the Tinubu administration. This agenda serves as a guiding framework for initiatives aimed at driving job creation, economic growth, food security, poverty eradication, access to capital, the rule of law, anti-corruption efforts, and inclusive development.

The Vice President emphasized that these initiatives are not mere plans but concrete actions intended to improve the lives of Nigerians. He pointed to investments in agriculture and other sectors, aimed at reducing import dependence and enhancing local production. Additionally, Shettima highlighted the Renewed Hope Housing Scheme, designed to tackle the housing deficit and stimulate economic growth.
Moreover, Shettima outlined various initiatives focused on reducing unemployment and underemployment, such as the Outsource to Nigeria Initiative, Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises, and the Expanded National MSME Clinics. These programs are geared towards creating more job opportunities and fostering economic inclusivity across the nation.
