Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Isa Kwarra
The Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Isa Kwarra, on October 31 launched the ad-hoc staff e-recruitment portal for the 2023 Population and Housing Census at the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja.
The last time Nigeria conducted a population census was in 2006.
The 2023 census of the country is expected to be a detailed enumeration of the population. It will be the fifth national census in the country since Independence in 1960.
The census will also be notable for being the first digital census in Nigeria’s history.
The portal link for registration for Nigerians interested in ad hoc staff roles of the NPC became active for application on the 1st of November, 2022, and closes on the 28th of December, 2022.

● Monitoring & Evaluation Officers
● Data Quality Managers
● Data Quality Assistants
● Supervisors
● Enumerators
● Special Workforce
The general requirements for the ad-hoc staff application are;
● National Identification Number
● Valid and Functional Gmail Account
● Valid and Functional Phone Number
● Valid and Functional /Operational Commercial Bank Account (No student/NYSC Account)
● Valid Educational Qualifications.
● Access to and knowledge on the use of computers, tablets & smartphones is an added advantage.

The application is free. Members of the public are advised to beware of internet fraudsters.
The application window date is from 31st October 2022 to 28th December 2022.
