About 140 political thugs have been arrested by soldiers deployed in Enugu to provide security for the governorship and state House of Assembly elections.

The hoodlums were arrested with dangerous weapons which suggested they were targeting to disrupt the elections.
It was gathered that they were nabbed at a popular Carolina Hotel, Nsukka, Enugu North Senatorial District.
Three hoodlums were also arrested at the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Nsukka.
