Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Ajagungbade, dies at 95

The paramount ruler of Ogbomosho in Oyo State, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, is dead.

The Soun of Ogbomosho reportedly died around 2.45am on Sunday.

He was aged 95 years and spent 48 years on the throne.

Although palace sources confirmed his death, this has not been officially announced.

Born on May 27, 1926 in Ogbomoso to Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi Ajagungbade II and Ayaba Seliat Olatundun Oyewumi, he ascended the throne on October 24, 1973.
