Spiro Nigeria hosts Media Connect to champion future of electric mobility
Spiro, Africa’s leading electric mobility company, on Friday hosted its highly anticipated Media Connect event at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event brought together over 30 journalists, media professionals, and key industry stakeholders to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of electric transportation in Nigeria.
The event served as a strategic platform for Spiro Nigeria to showcase its innovative fleet of electric bikes, demonstrate its technological edge, and reaffirm its commitment to building a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable mobility ecosystem across the country.
Director of Spiro West Africa, Rahul Gaur, outlined the company’s mission to reduce carbon emissions, improve urban mobility, and provide affordable, eco-friendly transport alternatives for Nigerians.
“We’re excited to connect directly with the media and share our journey,” said Gaur. “Electric mobility isn’t a future dream—it’s a current reality. And Nigeria is ready to lead this transition.”
Attendees experienced live demonstrations of Spiro’s electric bikes, including hands-on test rides and technology showcases. The interactive Q&A session allowed journalists to delve deeper into Spiro’s operational strategy, expansion roadmap, and customer engagement initiatives.
Having already established a strong presence in Lagos, Spiro is rapidly scaling its operations to new cities, including Ogun, Abuja, Taraba, Niger, Nasarawa, and Gombe—with upcoming expansion into Oyo, Kaduna, and Ondo states.
With a growing infrastructure of charging stations, service centers, and rider support hubs, Spiro is solidifying its position as a key driver of Nigeria’s shift to sustainable transport.
The Media Connect event also helped forge stronger ties with the press, reinforcing Spiro’s goal of building a network of informed media partners who can amplify its message and inspire public support for green mobility solutions.
