ThePAPERS can exclusively report that Some top players in the Super Eagles team are already grumbling with the approach of the newly appointed coach, Fimidi George, over selection and tactical approach.

Top players in the team who preferred to remain anonymous reveal that the coach approach is not suitable for them and this could be a major cause of losing the 2026 World Cup ticket.

“I think he has temper issues, and he doesn’t want suggestions, he can’t bring 1994 approach to 2024, football has changed and he needs diplomacy in his approach to some players,” a player told ThePAPERS

“Obviously, he doesn’t want some players in the team again not because they are old or not good but because he feels he can bring his own players but this is too early for a coach to be experimenting with a winning team,” another player said.
