Suspect bites policeman while trying to resist arrest in Ogun
Men of the Ogun state police command have arrested two suspected serial killers in the state, adding that one of them bit a police driver in an attempt to escape.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, SP Omolola Odutola, says the the suspects identified as Esube and Osunmuyiwa, were arrested on Sunday August 6, along the Papalanto axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta express road with one locally-made pistol loaded with cartridges found on them.

According to Odutola, the suspects, who were travelling on an unregistered motorcycle, were flagged down by a police patrol team, led by Inspector Sunday Adeyemo, but they refused to stop. Odutola explained that the suspects were pursued and arrested alongside a passenger, Omowunmi Fiyakola.
“Esube refused to adhere to the flagdown of the police and raced off. He was pursued and arrested, upon search, one locally fabricated pistol loaded with cartridges was found and recovered from his cross-body bag. He was violent with the driver of the police vehicle, by struggling with the steering in a bid to escape, he equally gave the police driver a poisonous bite on his right finger, which led to a tyre burst and the vehicle losing control and its tyres.”
She added that the suspect has made confessional statements as being a member of a notorious confraternity, and that the unregistered Bajaj motorcycle was stolen by him. She said he will be charged to court for murder, stealing, and possession of fire arms.
