Suspected herdsmen attack commercial bus in Delta, kill passenger, injure another

Suspected armed herdsmen attacked a commercial bus on the Ughelli-Agbarho section of the East-West Road in Delta State, killing an unidentified male passenger and injuring a female passenger.

The bus, traveling from Bayelsa State to Warri, was ambushed, and the female passenger sustained bullet wounds in both legs.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Friday and is currently under investigation, with the whereabouts of other passengers unknown.

On Saturday, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, stated he would contact the local police division for more details.

Two weeks ago, the police spokesperson announced that Commissioner of Police Abaniwonda Olufemi had deployed a tactical team to address the rising incidents of armed robbery and kidnapping along that route.
