Tanker crushes two to death in Ondo

Two persons riding on a motorcycle have been crushed to death after a petrol tanker rammed into them.

 

The incident occurred on Monday night around Sabo Lipakala area in Ondo town, Ondo West local government during a heavy downpour that started around 7:30pm

 

Witnesses said four persons sustained serious injuries in the accident.

 

Eyewitness said the driver of the tanker lost control and rammed into oncoming motorcyclists resulting to multiple accidents.

 

The corpses have been deposited at the University of Medical Sciences mortuary in Ondo while those who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.

 

Spokesman for Ondo Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Abiola Fadumo, could not be reached for comments.
