Tension as bread seller, five others die in Osun cult clash
Fear has gripped two Osun communities after six people were killed within two days in clashes between two rival cult groups.
The deaths resulted from attacks and reprisal attacks by members of the Eiye confraternity and Aye group in Ilesa and Osu communities of the state.
Some members of the Aye group had reportedly killed a bread seller named Oluwaseun Igwe at Ifofin in Ilesa and later killed two other persons in the community.

In retaliation, three people were killed on Thursday evening at Osu community in Atakunmosa West Local Government area of Osun State.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident, saying six people have been killed so far in the cult clash and operatives have been deployed to restore peace in the communities.
When contacted by our correspondent, the Osun State police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, promised to revert after making her findings about the incident.
