Terrorists abduct nurses, patients from Kaduna hospital
Suspected terrorists have attacked a Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, located in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting two nurses and an unspecified number of patients.
The incident, which took place around 9 a.m. on Monday, has left the community in shock.
Initial reports suggest that the gunmen first targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School, but finding it empty, they turned their attention to the healthcare facility.
Musa Alhassan, a leader of the local vigilante group, confirmed the incident, stating, “They came looking for students, but when they discovered the school was vacant, they went straight to the health centre and began abducting people.”

Eyewitnesses described the attackers as heavily armed with guns and machetes, creating widespread panic in the area. Among the victims are two female nurses, while the exact number of patients taken remains unclear.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor state government officials have released a statement.
Efforts to reach Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful, with calls and messages going unanswered.
This incident follows a disturbing pattern of attacks on healthcare facilities in Kaduna State. Notably, Dr. Ganiyat Popoola, a medical doctor, remains in captivity after being abducted several months ago by suspected terrorists.
The growing insecurity in the region continues to raise concerns, with communities increasingly vulnerable to violent raids.
