Terrorists kill 23 soldiers, injure 17 others in Niger Republic
Suspected terrorists have killed 23 in Niger Republic and wounded 17 others in an ambush.
This happened during an offensive near the border with Burkina Faso and Mali, the defence ministry said.
It said more than 100 “terrorists” had attacked an army unit between Teguey and Bankilare using “home-made bombs and suicide vehicles”.
In addition to the 23 soldiers who died it also confirmed that about 17 others were wounded.
