Three dead in shooting incident at Wisconsin school
Tragedy struck at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, on Monday, as a shooting left two people dead and several others injured, while the suspect was also found lifeless inside the school building.
This heartbreaking incident, which took place just days before the school’s Christmas break, has left the community in shock and mourning.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect, believed to be a juvenile, was a student at the very school where the violence erupted.
Police Chief Shon Barnes reported that officers discovered the shooter’s body inside the building, and investigations are ongoing.
The suspect’s identity has not yet been released, but the chief confirmed, “We believe the shooter was a student at the school.”
In an emotional statement, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers expressed his deep concern, saying, “We are praying for the kids, educators, and entire Abundant Life school community as we await more information and are grateful for the first responders who are working quickly to respond.”

Abundant Life Christian School, a K-12 institution serving around 390 students, had been preparing to close for the holidays at the end of this week.
The school, with its tight-knit community, had planned for a festive break, but the tragedy has cast a dark shadow over what was to be a joyful time of year.
Authorities have confirmed that no further threats exist to the community’s other schools.
The school shooting marks yet another grim statistic in what has been a shocking year for school violence across the country.
The Abundant Life Christian School shooting is now the 83rd school shooting in 2024 alone, surpassing the previous year’s record of 82.
