Three Lagos men arrested with human parts bought from Oyingbo market
Officers of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) under the Lagos State Police Command have taken three individuals into custody over alleged possession of what are suspected to be human tongues.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the arrest in a post on his X account (@benHundeyin) on Tuesday.
According to Hundeyin, two suspects (names withheld) were apprehended on Oct. 15 while traveling in a taxi along the Otedola Bridge during a routine stop-and-search operation.

“Further investigations led the operatives to the apprehension of the third suspect, from whom the parts were bought in Oyingbo Market, Lagos,” the police spokesperson said.
He added that the case is currently under investigation at the command’s headquarters.
Hundeyin noted that the suspects would face prosecution if found guilty after the investigation concludes.
